Evie competition ice skating dress - private commission

I was asked by Kelly and Evie (aged 9) to design and make an ice skating competition dress for a piece of music called 'Believe in Christmas', composed by Guy Farley.

I designed a number of dresses for Evie and Kelly to choose from and took detailed measurements for Evie prior to drafting the pattern and constructing the dress. The dress consists of just under 3,000 Swarovski crystals, all individually glued on. This was a surprisingly therapeutic task!

To compliment the dress I also made a matching flower hairclip, using the same fabric and Swarovski stones.
